Why do we have a closed cabinet design on our workstations?

Having worked in the packaging industry for over 30 years, we have had plenty of experience with helping organise packing areas and make the packing process more efficient. As the packing position has evolved - now including more IT equipment than a typical office desk - the design of the packing station has been very reluctant to evolve with it!  SO we end up with something like this:

There are a host of problems with this old-fashioned design:

  • Cartons - and everything else - disappear under the packing station.
  • Carton storage isn't orderly.
  • Materials and equipment end up on the work surfaces.
  • Dust everywhere
  • No surfaces for SOP's to be on display

So we re-designed the work-station....

And it stays clean and tidy for years after.......

There are more advantages - the upper shelf unit can also act as a partition.

Please get in touch to see how our workstation design can improve your processes!
